Remembering Brother Armand Bedard

J. ARMAND BEDARD
March 13, 1930 – November 6, 2021

On Saturday, November 6, 2021, Armand passed peacefully in his bed at Providence Manor, to join his beloved wife of 66 years Cecile Bedard. Armand was a dedicated member of the Royal Canadian Air Force for 35 years, greatly involved in the Kingston community after his retirement.  He was an active, respected and influential member of the Kingston Senior’s Centre, the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 560 and a proud Knight of Columbus: St. Paul the Apostle Council and Archbishop J.V. Cleary Assembly.

Loving father of Bernie Bedard, Mimi Rogers (James), Jacques Bedard (Janet), and Lynne Morin (Jean-Pierre).  Cherished Grandfather of Jennifer Arcand (Jamie), Paul Rogers (Stacey), Nicole Doan (Jonathan), Michael Bedard, Kaila Morin (Ivan Sabourin), Daniel Morin (Midori Kaga), Andre Bedard (Aaryn Normand) and Bradley Bedard. Loving great grandfather of 12 and great great grandfather of 2. 

He is survived by his sisters: Aline Bedard, Solange Bedard (George Tousignant), Lise Bedard (Claude Pilon), Jocelynne Bedard; his brother Gilles Bedard (Aline Bourget) and his sister-in-law Aline Juneau (Raymond Bedard). 
Predeceased by 6 brothers and 3 sisters.  Fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews.

Visitation at the GORDON F. TOMPKINS FUNERAL HOME, 435 Davis Drive (Centennial Dr. and Taylor-Kidd Blvd) on Friday, November 12th from 2 pm until 5 pm. With Covid Restrictions all attending the visitation will have to show proof of their double vaccination and wear a mask at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Paul the Apostle Church 1111 Taylor-Kidd Blvd on Saturday, November 13th at 10:00 am. you must phone to register for attending the mass to 613-546-5150, face masks will be worn and guests will be spaced for seating.
