The Nativity Exhibition

Brothers, help is required in three key areas to show our support for the Nativity Exhibition:

Location: St. Paul the Apostle Parish Hall

1. Set up required for Monday Nov 18 at 3:00 pm

Includes removal of  4 round tables and all chairs between rooms A,B & C, and
setting up 4 rectangular wooden tables in each room – 12 in total.
Room set up floor plan will be available.

2. Wednesday Nov 20 10:30 am Archbishop O’Brien will be blessing
the Nativity Exhibits.

John XXIII catholic school students and staff will also arrive at 10:30 am that same morning followed by the school mass at 11:00 a.m..

The editor of the Catholic Register is sending a freelance photo journalist to interview about the Nativity Project and the exhibition.

It would be very nice if brother knights and their families could visit for this occasion or at any other opportunity throughout the week.

3. Tear down on Saturday Nov 23 at 4:30 pm.

Return the rectangular wooden tables to storage.
Return the round tables and chairs removed for set up back to their rooms.

CCO Summit on October 4th

A Catholic Christian Outreach (CCO) Summit is being held this Friday at
St. James Chapel at 7:00 pm. The night will consist of Eucharistic adoration, accompanied by songs of praise, and preceded by a talk about St. Francis given by Fr. de Souza.

The Knights of your Council and members of your parish are certainly welcome and even encouraged to attend. It would be a great way for your friends to become acquainted with the work and the students of the chaplaincy at Queen’s! I think that you will also find it very encouraging that many young people ardently desire to spend time in prayer and in the Lord’s presence.

We will also have a Mass at 5:00 pm in St. James Chapel to celebrate the Feast of St. Francis.

I wish to remind everyone of the presentation from Father Ray this past Month with his wish to invite the Knights out to events like this. This is a great opportunity for evangelization integrating young adults with an older generation as well. Hope to see you there!

Warden Election

It saddens us to report that our newly elected Warden Br. Neil Hill has had to reconsider his ability to perform the duties as Warden.  Br. Neil has relayed the message that if he cannot give 110% to a job he would rather step aside. For this honesty he is to be commended.

As a result, through our Grand Knight we will open Nominations through an alert to the general membership with the goal of electing a new Warden on June 4th at our Regular Business Meeting.

Nominations should be directed to OUR Worthy Grand Knight Terry Finn either through e-mail at gk@kofc9652.com or by phone at 613-483-1517.
