The 2023 Mary Campeau Memorial Charity Golf Tournament
Saturday, June 17, 2023 at Camden Braes Golf and Country Club

Our 2023 Golf Tournament Was A Success!

In 2012 our then Grand Knight, our late Brother Terry Finn, challenged the council to find a way to increase the level of charitable giving we had been providing. The idea of a charity golf tournament was proposed and in June 2013 our first tournament was held. Since then, we have been able to support a variety of local charitable endeavors, each whose work was in keeping with the teachings of the Catholic Church.

In achieving both our financial objective, but more importantly, our goal of assisting a vital Catholic charity in our community, our ninth annual, and our inaugural Mary Campeau Memorial Charity Golf Tournament was a resounding success.

Our charity, the St. Rita’s Drop-in Centre and Veronica’s Veil Overnight Shelter at St. Mary’s Cathedral Parish proved to be exceptional partners for the tournament, contributing significantly with golfers, sponsors (thanks Ann), and providing the silent auction (thanks Natalie).

Of course, a substantial portion of our revenue comes from our generous sponsors. In the current newsletter are found the names of those business people who stepped up to help us and our charity. If you have occasion to visit any of them, please mention you saw their name with the tournament and thank them for their support. Each year they’re approached to help many community activities and it’s important to acknowledge that they chose to help us.
